Stone architecture made by time.
Vela Draga is one of Učka’s clearest expressions of karst. Its limestone towers, ravine and exposed rock record a long geological history, while the educational path turns that landscape into an outdoor classroom.
The official park lists the Vela Draga educational trail at 2 km, with a typical duration of around 1 to 1.5 hours. Interpretation boards explain the origins of the massif, the canyon and the forms created in limestone.

The viewpoint makes Vela Draga accessible as a short stop. The deeper descent changes the character of the walk: steeper terrain, closer rock and a much stronger sense of scale.
How long should I allow?
For the official educational trail, the park suggests roughly one to one and a half hours. Add time for photography and reading the interpretation boards.
Can I combine it with Vojak?
Yes as a full-day itinerary by car, but they are different trailheads. Do not treat Vela Draga as a direct continuation of the summit walk.
Is it a climbing area?
Vela Draga has a long climbing tradition. Use current local climbing information and respect any restrictions or conservation guidance.
