The summit
The view that explains Učka.
At 1,401 metres, Vojak is the highest point of Učka and the Istrian peninsula. The stone tower on the summit dates to 1911 and was restored after the protected area was established.
From the crest, the geography becomes legible: Istria spreads west, Kvarner and its islands open to the east, with Gorski kotar and Velebit beyond. The park notes that the Alps and Italy may also be visible in clear conditions.

Wind changes the day
The exposed ridge can feel very different from sheltered Poklon. Check current forecasts and carry a layer even when the coast is warm.
Views reward timing
Visibility determines how much of the Adriatic and inland ranges you can read from the tower. Clear mornings are often especially rewarding.
